NyCee's latest antic is as follows:
She goes to sleep in my arms or on my lap. I walk her upstairs and lay her in the bed. 10 minutes later, she is standing in her crib crying and screaming like a banshee. I try to ignore her in hopes that she will just lie down and go back to sleep. Yeah right! I cave in and retrieve her from the bed, putting her where? In my bed of course.
Can someone please call SuperNanny to rescue me?

No!!! You don't need a super nanny, you need to let Taylor cry. She has your number and she is working you. Stand up - don't let a 10 month child beat you down. It not hard to do - try it.
I wouldn't be able to resist that crying little face either. Just look at her little pleading eyes.

I must agree with Ms. Martha! Be strong, I know it's not easy! Also, I was curious to know if Nycee has a regular nap and bedtime? If not, it's time you established one. You'll be happy you did! You'll have some "me" time and be able to get a lot more done around the house.
Love,
Auntie Nita
I have never been a "self-help" book reader...didn't read a single parenting book (maybe that's my problem). But my mom sent me this one when I was having lots of problem with getting Max to sleep at Nycee's age.
Good Night, Sleep Tight: The Sleep Lady's Gentle Guide to Helping Your Child Go to Sleep , Stay Asleep, And Wake Up Happy
You should check it out! It helps you get your child on a schedule and gives techniques that aren't just "let them cry it out"...ones more tolerable to a cry-sensitive parent.
Cari--
Thanks for the tip on the book. I will check it out.
Auntie Nita-
NyCee is a napper. She takes her nap everyday from 12:00p-2:30pm. I am an advocate of naptime. Also, she goes to bed around 9:00p.m. Because she is older, I moved her bed time up and stopped the afternoon nap and it has worked out. The problem now is getting her to sleep in HER BED!
